FIMSA Travel Grants for IUIS 2019

The 17th International Congress of Immunology (IUIS 2019) will be held from October 19 – 23, 2019 at the China National Convention Centre, Beijing, China. The Congress is co-organized by the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) and the Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI). IUIS 2019 promises to be an unforgettable event that will bring together delegates from all over the world. It is anticipated that over 5000 participants, including international leaders at the forefront of the discipline, will present the most recent advances in basic immunology and clinical translation. This is an opportunity to be part of a major international immunology meeting in China, one of the most amazing countries in terms of scientific progress and Immunology in particular.


FIMSA is pleased to offer travel grants to early-career researchers from FIMSA-member countries and regions to attend IUIS 2019.

Application Deadline: August 15, 2019

Value
: USD 1,000 in reimbursement for free registration and travel expenses associated with attending IUIS 2019.

Requirements:
☆ Applicants must be under 35 years of age by 23 October, 2019.
☆ Applicants must come from FIMSA-member countries and regions (Australia & New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Thailand and Sri Lanka).
☆ Applicants must be currently working in FIMSA-member countries and regions.
☆ Applicants must be an author on an accepted abstract at IUIS 2019.

☆ Applicant’s passport.
☆ Applicant’s C.V.
☆ Proof of employment in FIMSA-member countries and regions.
☆ A copy of the abstract(s) submitted to IUIS 2019 with submission ID.

- Current residency in Africa/South America

- Submission of one abstract where the submitter is the first author

- Registered for a PhD or Post-Graduate Degree or graduated after 19 Oct. 2014

EFIS-EJI Travel Grants

10 Travel Grants, EURO 1,500 each

- Under 35 years of age

- The first or presenting author of an abstract submitted to IUIS 2019

- A member of an EFIS member society

AAI Travel Grants

Up to USD 2,000 for registration and travel expenses associated with attending IUIS 2019

- Author on an accepted abstract

- Citizen of a designated developing country

- Currently working in a laboratory in a designated developing country (Applicants who are citizens of developing countries but working in laboratories in the developed world will not be eligible).

ASI Special Travel Awards

5 Travel Awards, AUD 1,500 each

- ASI full (not interim) Ordinary or Student members

- Membership subscription paid before 1st April

- Up to 6 years post-doctoral research experience

BSI Special Travel Award

Up to GBP 1,000

- BSI members (for at least twelve-month membership before June 5, or a multi-year membership)

- Copies of abstracts clearly indicating the presenter

- Proof of registration at IUIS 2019

CST-Asia Pacific Travel Awards

15 Travel AwardsUp to USD 1,000 each for registration and travel expenses associated with attending IUIS 2019

- Under 40 years of age by 19 Oct. 2019

- Submission of at least one abstract where the submitter is the first author

- Registered for a PhD or Post-Graduate Degree or graduated after 19 Oct. 2019
